“It could become a beneficial medication to women going through menopause who have experienced a low sex drive or a lower libido,” human development teacher Yvonne Salcido said.

“It seems odd to be rejected but it does raise concern to the rejections,” senior Olivia Mendez said.

“As long as you know what you’re taking and use precaution and don’t abuse it with alcohol then there shouldn’t be much to worry about,” Salcido said.

Addyi will become available to the public through prescription Oct. 17.

“The pink pill like the blue pill could potentially be a good thing with women with HSDD,” senior Genaro Villarreal said.
