Fear L I F E, not death

Life, a horror movie directed by Daniel Espinosa, was released March 24. It takes place in space and based on this movie it is scary to be alone out there. The small cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Ariyon Bakare, Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Olga Dihovichnaya.

Six astronauts are sent to space on a risky mission that involves an encounter with an organism from outer space. Hugh Derry (Ariyon Bakare) is an invalid that specializes in organisms. He starts the investigation and everything seems okay.

Somehow one feels that something is wrong with that investigation. The organism is being incubated in a room that only Hugh can enter while the others observe. The horror starts when the organism escapes. After the death of Rory Adams (Ryan Reynolds) the organism is free to kill everyone on that space ship.

Espinosa does a great job building suspense in the movie. He develops the horror by giving hope that the investigation is going to be successful then ends the movie with no solution making everyone in the audience think that the monster is coming after them.

What is cool about this movie is that it is so simple you believe it can happen. The diversity of the cast also makes it more believable. There is no chance of sleeping after watching this movie because something is out there in space.
