Gremlins, released in 1984, is a classic that’s a really good movie to watch during the Christmas season. It was directed by Joe Dante and well worth the time.

Randall Peltzer (Hoyt Axton), is looking for a gift for his son. Dad is shopping at a store in Chinatown. A man shows him a weird creature called “Mogwai” (Gremlin). The man warns Dad to never expose the creature to bright light, water or food after midnight. Dad is half listening and thinks it is a good idea to give his son a Mogwai. His son, Billy isn’t too happy with the critter but soon finds out that it’s a really cool pet. He names it Gizmo. Bright light can kill the creature, water makes them multiply, and feeding them after midnight turns them evil. Of course all of this happens, and evil gremlins work hard to destroy the city. Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) and friends, manage to save the day.
