Warning Love, Victor contains mature content

Love, Victor, a spin-off series of the movie Love, Simon, premiered last summer and received positive feedback from both critics and audiences. After its successful debut on Hulu the series is back for season two, June 11.

Love, Victor follows Victor Salazar, a 16-year-old who has moved to a new city and is attending Creekwood High. When he arrives to school he meets Benji, who is openly gay. Victor is confused about his feelings towards Benji and contacts Simon Spier to ask for advice. Throughout the series Victor figures out who he is.

The series does a great job at representing the Latinx community, and shows that it’s not easy coming out. Although the show starts with Victor dating a girl he eventually sees that it isn’t who he is and he slowly begins to come out.

Many LGBTQ+ individuals will relate to the process of Victor coming out. As the tag line says in the series “Fear less, love more.”
