Parking Lot or Parking Not
October 22, 2018
There are new rules and regulations for students using the parking lot. Numbers are assigned to each parking space. Principal Antonio Acuna and assistant principal Gerald Gamez implemented these changes.
‘‘These changes were made to help control the parking lot better and be more organized,’’ sergeant Mike Atkins said.
Some like the new changes.
“It lets the school know that you have a sticker and it ensures safety,” junior Victor Seañez said.
Others do not agree.
‘‘I feel like there’s no improvement with this idea. It’s a decent idea but it needs more effort to enforce it,’’ senior Larry Zuniga said.
A parking sticker is required to park on campus. There are requirements to obtain a sticker.
‘‘You need to pay a $10 dollar fee, show your drivers’ license and your insurance,” Atkins said. ‘‘All vehicles are allowed to park as long as a sticker is purchased.’’
Not having a sticker has its consequences.
‘‘You get a warning the first time you’re seen without a sticker and the second time the car will get towed,” Atkins said.
Cars have not been towed to date.
