Wrapping up athletic seasons

 As the school year winds down sports seasons wrap up and tally up their records.

Volleyball

The season had a less than stellar ending with a 2-14 district record, 3-26 overall.

Football

Football had a superstar season finishing 8-0 in district, 10-2 overall before losing to Coronado-Lubbock in what fans called a classic game in state playoffs.

Girls Basketball

The team had a tough season finishing 3-13 in district, 11-21 overall.

Boys Basketball

After coming off a season where they were district champions, the boys wrapped up a difficult season 8-8 in district, 16-14 overall.

Softball

After making it to playoffs, the softball team had high hopes. They faced a tough season finale 8-9 in district, 12-14-2 overall.

Baseball

The team ended district play 6-10, 15-14 overall.

Girls Soccer

The girls had an amazing season record ending 14-2 in district, 18-6-1 overall record. Even after the loss of forward Love’ Tovar to an ACL injury, the girls fought through.

Boys Soccer

The boys came off a spectacular season finishing 12-4 in district, 24-7-1 overall before losing to Aledo in the state playoffs .

Wrestling

Wrestling had three boy wrestlers go to nationals. Elliot Cortes placed sixth, Tristin Tuialuuluu placed eighth, and Alias Flores attended as alternate.

Track

Track took five to regionals. False starts plagued the 4×400 relay team which prevented them from moving up. Long jumper Karch Gardiner placed third at regionals.

Golf

The golf team took nine to regionals.
