A very Disney Christmas
December 13, 2016
In the winter of 1983, Mickey’s Christmas Carol was released. It was directed by Burny Mattinson and based on the classic written by Charles Dickens.
Disney’s take on the classic includes Scrooge McDuck (Alan Young), a selfish money-lender who does not believe in Christmas. He grumpily turns down his nephew, Donald Duck’s (Clarence Nash) invitation to Christmas. Mickey Mouse (Wayne Allwine), is Scrooge’s loyal hardworking employee who requests Christmas Day off. He reasons that there will be no business that day for Scrooge. Scrooge reluctantly agrees. Late that night, Scrooge has a reality check after a visit from a certain ghost that will not be named for spoiler’s sake. In the end, Scrooge finally decides it’s time for an attitude adjustment.
Mickey’s Christmas Carol is a great short movie to watch with loved ones to get into the great Christmas Spirit.
