There are many things that students miss from school, joking during class, laughing with friends, and being with one’s group at lunch time. 

I even miss the school cafeteria. Some of the food was very good. But the tables, were always full of many friends to say hello to. What mattered was that everyone met collectively in one place.

Maybe it is just this school, but it always seemed like each class had some downtime. It was the perfect opportunity to talk to friends about work one did not understand, about gossip, or the girl or boy that someone liked at school.

Part of being in school also meant working a part-time weekend job and feeling rich. Getting a paycheck every month was like angels showering down gold coins.

All that is gone now. I miss school.
