What Men Want depicts the unfair treatment of women in a man’s world. The comedy is about the inequality of women in business. The trailer captures how men think about women and the unwritten code of men.

The movie is based on a sports agent named Alison “Ali” Davis who is aiming for the partner position but is passed up by her male colleague because her boss claims she does “not connect with men.” In hopes of finding a solution, Alison finds a psychic who gives her a strange concoction that allows her to listen to men’s thoughts. She uses this to her advantage to get in the good grace of her boss and to sign legendary NBA players. The downside of Alison’s gift reveals dark secrets of her coworkers, family members and her love interest.

Director, Adam Shankman captured the bias men have towards women in a workplace with a fun comical twist. Actress Taraji P. Henson gives a charismatic and determined personality to Alison’s character and highlights the frustration of women working in a male dominated corporation. Much of the movie scenarios are humorous but relatable and shows a contradiction to the normal status quo of men and women. This would not be a movie to miss.
