Super Wolf Blood Moon Eclipse
February 20, 2019
The ‘Super Wolf Blood Moon’ Eclipse was visible in North and South America on Jan 20 – 21. This phenomenon occurs when the Earth’s shadow blocks the sunlight from the moon, the light waves are stretched and makes the moon look red. What makes this event special is that the moon is in its closest orbit to the earth, making it look bigger, as well as being a full moon. This type of event occurs every two to three years, the next sighting is May 26, 2021.
