Tee time for golf team
Golfers grip it and rip it.
To grip it is to grab the club firmly so it won’t fly out of the golfer’s hand and to rip it is to swing as hard as possible.
Nobody knows that better than the golf team, even though many students aren’t aware there’s a golf team.
“I didn’t even know there was a golf team on campus until late last year when my 8th grade coach asked me to try out for it,” freshman golfer Martin Rodriguez said.
The golf team might not be well known but they play a challenging sport.
“The best time we had this year was during district when one of my best players Daniel Sigala placed 10th in district which is actually very difficult to place,” golf coach Oscar Cordova said.
Students might not see golf as challenging.
“Golf is the most difficult sport there is because we have to keep our patience and keep our balance, there’s really nothing easy about it, and that’s why I think it’s not that popular because not everyone understands how to play,” senior Daniel Sigala said.
