Cinderella; A fairy tale for the heart

Cinderella is a dream that sensitive and passionate girls hope becomes real. It is more than a fairy tale, it is a love story that teaches the heart that no love is impossible. Cinderella is a beautiful love story that brings two people from different classes together into one glamorous couple.

Director Kenneth Branagh, producers Allison Shearmur, Simon Kinberg and David Barron transformed a flawless fairy tale that started as an animation classic on Disney into a context of life, gaining $260 million at the worldwide box office in the first two weeks of release, according to www.telegraph.co.uk/film/cinderella.

Growing up, Ella (Lily James) had to face the struggle of dealing with the death of her mother, the marriage of her father, two ugly step-sisters, Drizella (Sophie McShera Williams), Anastasia (Holliday Grainger), and a new “sweet” stepmother, Lady Tremaine (Cate Blanchett).

Finding herself at the mercy of her two step-sisters and stepmother, after her father’s death, Ella was put in the position of a maid nicknamed Cinderella.

The movie was filmed in the Buckingham Palace, after Branagh studied the palace when he visited in 2012 while receiving his knighthood.

With an animated Disney film, Branagh decided to reinvent Cinderella and make her a more pro-active, 21st century character by giving her life and giving all those who love the animation and opportunity to enjoy the movie in a more realistic form.

If ever found at the mercy of someone, Cinderella is the perfect movie to watch when despair seems the only way to go. The heart is sensitive and needs to be reminded that after a fall, there’s always something better on the way.
