Known as a Broadway star since she was eight years old Lea Michele’s first album LOUDER, released a year ago, has already sold over 62,000 copies.

It has a mix of genres, inspiring artists, and different emotions transmitted through the songs. Songs in this album such as You’re Mine and If You Say So are dedicated to her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

She sings of her struggles to  cope with the loss of her love. The lyrics are heartbreaking and the feeling of loss comes through her powerful singing. Monteith overdosed July 2013.

Michele explains how Cannonball was her breakthrough song and how she felt when she finally moved out of her dark time into reliving her life to continue with her singing and acting career.

Michele has been praised for her strength in dealing with the death of Monteith and for finding her way out of the darkness through her profound music.
