Freshmen are in their first year of high school, and freshman Ashley Arras and fellows students feel great about coming to a new school.

“I believe Del Valle is pretty big of a school. There’s so much diversity which further proves it,” Arras said.

Being a freshman opens new opportunities.

“I have made a lot of new friends now that I am in high school,” freshman Efren Aguilar said.

Getting to know more friends is not all, freshman also experience more freedom.

“Free dress is great and getting to know more girls is much better!,” freshman Sebastian Baltazar said.

Some freshmen are off to a good and want to succeed as a high school.

“I expect to pass this year with a higher ranking and a better GPA,” Aguilar  said optimistically.

Having fun the first year of high school makes everything easier and smooth for the coming years.

“So far I’m enjoying my freshman year because the teachers I have are great and  supportive and I’m beside all of my friends too,”  Arras said.
