Cheerleading – Cheering on the players at every game, the cheerleading team did it’s best to support the home team. The base team, flyers, and back spot in the 15 player team cheered to the end. Cheerleading coach Andrea Lopez-Morse bids farewell to 7 seniors. With the tryouts April 11, the team 25, more than the 15 girls before and stronger.
Football – Head coach Jesse Perales coached the team to a 7-1 district record, 8-4 overall. Big Bad Blue’s varsity football team took a victory as district champs. With over 40 players, 26 seniors are leaving the team. Strong players from JV are moving up make for a promising season and another championship.
Volleyball – Finishing the season with an even 8-8 in district and 16-16 overall, the varsity volleyball team kept it balanced. Coach Jesse Lugo’s varsity team is losing 8 seniors of 14 players.
Boys Basketball – Ending the season 6-10 in district, and 7-18 overall with head coach Will Churchill’s varsity basketball team bids 6 seniors farewell. The 12 man team is left with 6 returning players. A lack of communication resulted in a disappointing season. Next year will see changes and a new team.
Girls Basketball – The varsity girls basketball team ended their season 6-10 in district, 16-15 overall. Head coach Gabriela Diaz, pushed the Lady Conquistadores through a good season. Only 2 seniors are leaving and 9 players returning, the 2014-2015 season looks strong.
Tennis – Making area playoffs for the first time in 8 years the Tennis team served the season well. With 7 All-Academic All District players and 5 Honorable Mentions, coach Hugo Martinez led the team in a great season. With only 5 seniors leaving, the team remains strong with 15 returning players. The 2014-2015 season looks ready to hit the court.
Wrestling – Pinning down the season the Big Bad wrestling team finished 13-14. The girls placed as district runner-ups with 4 State qualifiers, 5 Regional qualifiers, and 3 State placers. The boys finished 3rd overall, with 2 Regional placers, 1 State qualifier and 1 State placer. With head coach Carlos Armendariz, the 2015-2016 season looks big.
