Wing Daddys: A hole in the wall with good food

Wing Daddy’s is restaurant that started in El Paso. There are five locations in El Paso, two in San Antonio and two in Mexico. The specialty is wings and they have 17 different sauces. They also have eight unique burgers including the Hawaiian Burger and the Saucy Blue Burger. Wing Daddy’s also offers a lot of appetizers such as fried pickles and fried gator. For desserts they offer fried cheesecake and fried ice cream to name a few.

The atmosphere is great. They have music throughout the restaurant, but it’s a small place and packed with tables. They have televisons everywhere playing music videos and sports. However, after several visits the place is consistently dirty and the restrooms could use some air freshener. Waiters are nice but only check on the table once or twice.

The wings on the other hand, are the best in town. The honey hot sauce is sweet but spicy. It is perfect for wings. The chicken strips are meaty and good-sized not like those crayon-sized strips found at McDonalds or Wing Stop. Other sauces include Chipotle Raspberry, Tangasaurus and Scorchin’ Cilantro Lime. The prices aren’t bad. An order of five chicken strips, a basket of fries and a drink is about $12, for a meal only a few can finish.
