#IITM: Is it too much?

A hashtag on an online post makes a point or makes something clear, but no one is using hashtag rules.
It’s best to use no more than two tags per message. Twitter Help Center rules state that; if you post a hashtag on a public account, anyone who does a search for that hashtag should be able to find it, don’t spam with hashtags (#happy #GoodDay #Lucky #pretty), don’t over tag a single post, it’s recommended to use no more than two tags per post, and use tags only relevant to your post.”
For example, “#iLoveHotDogs” and a picture of a hot dog is the right way to use a tag because it is relevant to your post. Anyone can use this tag on a daily basis.
Using over two tags in a message is annoying on any social network because this generation doesn’t read much. Seeing an entire page of just tags will make for a completely ignored post. More than two tags is too much to read.
Social networks that use hashtags include Twitter, Instagram, Vine and Facebook.
“Facebook is new to hashtags,” according to Google so it is not official.
Hashtags are a big trend on social networks. Teens have creative ideas for new tags and the most creative ones are also the most popular ones. Simple tags like “Outfit of the Day” or “#OOTD” for short.
Tags don’t have to be about emotions or actions, they can be about anything. There really isn’t a downside about hashtags unless one overuses them.
