Sponge Bob… To be continued…
Spongebob Squarepants first aired May 1, 1999. America grew to love the yellow little sponge and it helped Nickelodeon generate $8 million in merchandising revenue.
Recently rumors spread that Spongebob will be cancelled Jan. 28, after nine seasons and 189 episodes.
Many fans are outraged and saddened by the purported Nickelodeon decision.
People born in the ‘90s grew to love Spongebob. To have a show that most teens love just disappear is like losing a piece of their childhood.
It turns out there’s no reason to be sad, a recent tweet by Nickelodeon’s profile (@NickelodeonTV) states that the rumor is, “Nothing more than a hoax. We’ve got new episodes in 2014 and the movie is coming out in 2015.”
This should make Spongebob fans happy. The sponge sagas continue.
