Epic. The very anticipated Game of Thrones season five is here and with it come many surprises. The show is created by D. B. Weiss and David Benioff based on G. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and as expected, episode one does not disappoint. Viewers can feel how over-the-top incredible the new season is just by hearing the majestic intro song they have all very much longed for.

The first episode picks up where season four left off. Daenerys is struggling to keep power, she wants to be a good ruler, and a mother figure. However, she is having problems being fair. Her subjects don’t feel so attached to her anymore and she needs the power of her abandoned dragons if she will ever be the ruler of the seven kingdoms as past seasons foreshadowed.

John Snow still knows nothing but he is gaining power which makes him keep his spot as a viewer favorite. Most likely he will die soon. Like everyone on this show. All the time. Aria is on a very mysterious and dangerous quest for revenge just like her sister, Sansa, who is blindly trusting Littlefinger as long as her family is avenged.

Tyrion is safe. He is also on the lookout for a new upcoming ruler, Daenerys. With an unexpected companion.

Season four left many lose ends and season 5 comes with a lot of promise, this might just be the best Game of Thrones season so far.
