Major General Combs visits campus
Making her way from Fort Knox, KY, Major General Peggy C. Combs along with commander of the 5th Brigade, Colonel Rich Morales, a Riverside High School graduate, paid a visit to evaluate a JROTC program in Texas choosing the record holding JROTC program on campus.
“I knew of the record of excellence the school held for the Battalion and I wanted to see excellence in action,” Major General Combs said.
Brigadier General Peggy C. Combs was commissioned a Regular Army second lieutenant in the United States Army Chemical Corps in May 1985, as a distinguished military graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. Brigadier General Combs served as the Deputy Commanding General, US Army Cadet Command (ROTC) and Fort Knox, Fort Knox, KY. Brigadier General Combs’ military education includes the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Syracuse University, a Master of Science Degree from Saint Mary College, and a Master of Strategic Arts Degree from the U.S. Army War College.
Major General Combs was proud to see the cadets in action.
“What I’ll take from my experience seeing all the cadets today is inspiration and motivation, and I’m extremely proud to know that our future is bright due to the excellent achievements you all have been a part of,” Major General Combs said.
