Teachers bust a move
Laughter filled the gymnasium while students in the stands cheered on the outstanding “America’s Best Dance Crew.”
“I thought they were funny and entertaining, me and my friend were laughing because they weren’t shy about it,” sophomore Irma De La Pena said.
Dancing with the Teachers is the kind of contest that appeals to students who might have trouble imagining that their teachers can dance.
Dancing with the Teachers has been going on for the past five years.
“It’s a lot of fun because the teachers can see how it is to be a student,” Fuego dance teacher Gloria Tovar said.
First Place winners were Chemistry teacher Veronica Moore and senior Gilbert Lopez, Second Place winners were Aide Francisco Ramirez-Candelaria and senior Laura Corral, Third Place winners included Spanish teacher Magdalena Sigala and senior Pablo Duarte.
“Its an honor to win first place, it was a lot of fun. I think a lot more teachers should try it to get off their daily grind,” Chemistry teacher Veronica Moore said.
This event was sponsored by Fuego. It was combined with a Lip Sync contest sponsored by the Conquerettes.
