Shuhan, Managing Editor
I have been on The Expedition for two years, and my advice to next year’s staff is to get interviews done as soon as possible, so the stories can be in production faster. It is best not to take the picture at the last minute before the deadline. I have learned valuable lessons during my time in The Expedition, especially this year with my position as managing editor. I’ve learned to be more time efficient to meet deadlines and how to interview people I had no previous contact with.
Besides The Expedition, I’m in Speech and Debate, High Q and Academic Decathlon, AWARE, and now NHS.
After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Texas at Austin with a major in journalism.
My hobbies include drawing, writing, debate and craft making.
A quote I’m inspired by is “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but about learning to dance in the rain,” by Vivian Greene.
