Principal Antonio Acuña  announced at a recent pep rally that the school is installing charging stations for students phones and new television sets that will include gaming consoles to be in placed the commons.

The proposed consoles were selected by the Anime Club.

“We are mostly leaning on Xbox One and Playstation 4,” Anime Club president Dylan Hernandez said .

Students will be allowed to play on the gaming consoles during lunch.

“I do believe that the students will play the gaming consoles,” senior Emmanuel Oyervides said  .

The televisions are the same size as the ones already in place in the commons.

“The televisions will be where the wall with the glass cabinet with the football player and the televisions will be 65 inches,” Acuña said.  “ The money is coming from all the fundraisers we had.”

The actual price for the charging stations is not yet available.  Career Technology Coordinator Gregory, Longstreth is still looking for charging stations. Acuña said that they found charging stations used for hospitals and restaurants. Longstreth is looking for stations like those used in the mall.

The charging stations will be a good addition because students often need to  charge their phone.

“Charging stations will be in the commons, on the  second floor commons, gym foyer and the Fine Arts hallway,” Acuña said.

More charging stations will be added over a period of time.

“We will have five but our goal is to have 20,” Acuña said.
