You’re a mean one

Sixteen years ago,  Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas was released. It was directed by Ron Howard, written by Dr. Seuss, and narrated by Boris Karloff. It has been a season favorite ever since.

In the movie, the Grinch (Jim Carrey) lives on Mount Crumpit with his uncared for but loving dog. The Whos’, who live in Whoville are all about Christmas, so they are very jolly and the Grinch doesn’t like it.

The Grinch decides to “steal” Christmas from them. He dresses up as Santa Claus and his dog is dressed as a reindeer. He goes down to Whoville and steals all of their Christmas decorations.

Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen), follows the Grinch up the mountain. Eventually Cindy convinces the Grinch to take back all of the decorations and get into the Christmas spirit. At the end the Whos in Whoville invite the Grinch to join them in the celebration.

The Grinch character is so relatable. It’s funny and is a good movie. There’s something for everyone in this movie.
