The Conjuring is a fan favorite horror movie released in 2013, written by two brothers, Chad and Carey Hayes and directed by James Wan.

The Parrons family moves into an old farmhouse, strange things start happening and in desperation Carolyn (Lili Taylor) calls some paranormal investigators, Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) to determine what’s going on. Using their experiences in exorcism and skills in spiritual strength, they spend a few nights at the Parrons farmhouse trying to figure out where the evil is coming from and at the same time protecting the one who is possessed.

After all, this movie did get an 86 percent rating by Rotten Tomatoes. No matter how old the movie, it rates among the best horror movies.
