Hop on the Polar Express for the holidays

Robert Trejo, Reporter

The Polar Express is a special movie that isn’t shown until Christmas but the excitement and waiting is worth it. Based off a book by Chris Van Allsburg, this movie is written, produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Released November 2004 it has been bringing joy to young children every year since. The Polar Express makes one feel like Christmas is tomorrow especially while drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate with family or friends.

Everything takes place on Christmas eve. It’s about a crazy train ride to the North Pole where a young disbeliever meets Santa. After the adventure everyone rides back home and the boy realizes the true meaning of Christmas.

This movie is one good Christmas movie because it really teaches one to believe, don’t let anyone say otherwise, everyone has different interests and opinions. It’s a good kid movie, it’s about an hour and a half so by the time it ends kids will be asleep. Watch it when it comes out during the holidays!
