Racist comments by a presidential candidate are unacceptable. Donald Trump is a businessman and he should know better. When opinion becomes prejudice it is no longer freedom of speech.

Trump, believes immigrants should be kicked out of this country. It doesn’t matter if immigrants are here legally or not he wants them out. Trump contradicts himself on the immigration matter, since he is the son of a Scottish immigrant woman, and his paternal grandparents immigrated from Germany. Looks like he may have to leave too.

He has no valid argument to support his statements. Trump says “try to learn from the past, but I plan for the future by focusing exclusively on the present. That’s where the fun is…” His statements demonstrate he hasn’t learned very much from the past considering the tragedies the world has been through do to racism.

While it’s not likely that Trump will be taken seriously, his views on immigration are dangerous. One only has to look to Germany in the 1930s to see how dangerous his views can be. The idea of getting immigrants out of this country comes from people who believe immigrants are taking away jobs, living off the government or are criminals.

The majority of immigrants are here working jobs Americans are not willing to do in the first place.  Immigrants are 16 percent of the labor force, but only 13 percent of the total population. This proves that immigrants come to work and not cause trouble. If a person who does not know the language takes away a job from a non immigrant then that says more about the American people than people who are coming here for a better future.
