‘The Fault In Our Stars’: More than just a story
John Green, one of the best young adult authors, offers a heart-wrenching love story that is anything but cliche. Hazel is a teenage girl, cancer has become her life and hope is not a word in her vocabulary anymore. Gus, her love interest, has cancer as well, and that’s pretty much all they have in common.
The Fault in our Stars is beautifully written, with an interesting perspective of life given by characters that have it on the line, definitely quotable-worthy.
Hazel’s only dream is to meet her favorite author, the only person she thinks can understand the way she looks at life. Gus can make that dream come true, and together they will embarch on an unconventional adventure with a most unexpected ending.
John Green is not afraid to take risks when it comes to his plot twists and while most readers will probably cry an amount equivalent to the Mississippi River, the story is worth reading.
