The Drama Club was invited by the El Paso Community Foundation to present The Ballad of Roobie Rookie, written by Robert De La Rosa. The play was the season opener for the  foundation’s Jewel Box Series and was shown at the Plaza Theatre’s Philanthropy Theatre, Oct. 14.

“The Drama Club performed it last year for World Autism Day, with all of the proceeds going to the Autism Society of El Paso and to the Ysleta home trainers autism specialist,’’ Marissa Thurman drama teacher said.
